Welcome to the Community of Mary Glowrey, Mt Duneed
It is a privilege to have been appointed as the Foundation Principal of Mary Glowrey Catholic Primary School. I cannot wait to lead our growing school, where my deepest hope is that every child is known, valued, and nurtured.
Our school is inspired by the life and legacy of Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey—a local, humble, selfless woman who dedicated her life to improving the lives of others through service, compassion, and education. In her spirit, our mission is to provide a rich and holistic education that surrounds each student with care, challenge, and opportunity.
Our Vision & Motto
Guided by our motto, Fidem et Fortitudinem (Faith and Fortitude), our vision is to grow courageous hearts and bright minds so students can walk in faith, act with kindness, and have fortitude in an ever-changing world.
As an educator and leader, I have served Catholic education for twenty years across the Western Region of the Melbourne Catholic Archdiocese. Opening Mary Glowrey is a privilege I hold very dear. As a proud Catholic, I have great hope that our community will flourish in Mt Duneed. The staff we assemble will encircle our students with the pastoral care and educational excellence necessary to help them flourish as learners and faith-filled community members.
At Mary Glowrey, we are proud to be part of the Damascus Parish and the wider Surf Coast community. Our school values—Courage, Compassion, and Community—are at the heart of everything we do. These values reflect the life of our namesake and guide us in shaping students who:
